PHC Enhances Cancer Cover

The last few years have seen medical advancements for cancer treatment develop rapidly and this is now a key area of cover for clients to consider when purchasing private medical insurance.

PHC are pleased to announce that with effect from November 2009 the cover provided for the treatment of cancer on Plans 1 & 2 (both individual and company plans) has been widely extended. These enhancements mean that Plans 1 & 2 offer very comprehensive cancer cover within the UK PMI market. Cover is now provided for:

  • all stages of cancer (including terminal stages)
  • wider access to some of the cancer stabilising drugs cover
  • stem cell transplants
  • palliative treatment.

AMII Conference 2008

PHC were pleased to attend the AMII Conference on the 18th June.  Held at the Hinckley Island Hotel, the conference provided intermediaries with the opportunity to attend sessions on various subjects including: Health & Wellness - A Global Perspective, The PMI Opportunity in the SME Market, Introduction to International Health and The Changing Landscape of Cancer.

In between sessions the intermediaries visited providers at their stands in the exhibition rooms, and PHC were pleased to have the opportunity to see so many of our intermediaries in one day.

Service Excellence

Once again, the results were announced of the annual Service Standards Survey at the March AGM of the Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries (AMII). The AMII members are asked to rate the service levels of 14 PMI providers in many areas such as quotation turnaround times, issuing renewals and making policy changes. PHC were delighted to hear that for the second year running we had won both the "Individual PMI Service Award" and the "Group PMI Service Award." Since the inception of these Awards in 2000, PHC has consistently received good results and we would once again like to thank our AMII partners for their on-going support and for taking the time to complete the survey.
